The Volcanoes National Park (Timanfaya) is a great day out.  Access is by car until you reach the main part of the park, where you need to board a bus to see the full wrath of mother nature.  We have been many times, but are truly impressed with every visit.  Don't miss the Camel ride.  A neat thing to say you have done....
